La Fleche Wallonne – GO CADEL!

With the way the timezone differences work out between Australia and Europe it takes some serious dedication to stay up until 1am on a Wednesday night to watch a mid-week Classic. Especially when one of the only choices to watch these things is on a tiny computer monitor via streaming video. I'm sorry to say that I wasn't one of those dedicated cycling fans who had the heart to endure the late night.

However, I was elated to wake up to see these photos in my inbox with Cadel taking out his first Flèche Wallonne win. Cadel has started the season off with a bang and is certainly not suffering from the curse of the rainbow jersey. Great to see you doing Australia proud Cadel!

Good to see Wiggo back in the line-up. I’d like to know what’s going on with his chainring.

Froome was the only one active from Team Sky (that was reported anyway). This break never really had a chance.

You don’t see this face of pain from Contador very often. This shows how steep the Mur de Huy really is!

Good on ya Cadel! We just gotta work on your victory salute. It would have been priceless to see you do the “fingerbang” on Contador. You know you were thinking it…
